The Indianapolis Men's Chorus

I
am excited to welcome you to the 2007-2008 Season! I am especially pleased to
welcome our new Artistic Director, Mr. Alan Alder, into the Indianapolis Men's
Chorus family. Under his artistic leadership, the Indianapolis Men's Chorus is
poised to bring life to the mission of IndyChoruses and create positive social
change for the GLBTA community.
2006-2007 brought with it not only the challenge of searching for and hiring a
permanent Artistic Director, but also the challenge of defining a new
governance structure for IndyChoruses and the Indianapolis Men's Chorus. I am
proud to say that with the IndyChoruses Board of Director's approval of its
revised Bylaws and the new Indianapolis Men's Chorus Policies and Procedures on
June 26, 2007, and the hiring of Mr. Alder on July 1, 2007, IndyChoruses and
the Indianapolis Men's Chorus have the artistic leadership and governance
structure needed to fulfill the Corporation's mission of building bridges of
understanding, promoting acceptance of the GLBTA community, and creating unity
through musical excellence. These are, in fact, exciting times for IndyChoruses
and the Indianapolis Men's Chorus.
This year, the Indianapolis Men's Chorus enters its 18th Season of
building bridges through musical excellence. We will be "Celebrating the
Season" at the Broadway United Methodist Church in December 2007, bringing the
arts to life with the Anderson High School choirs during our "Arts Alive!"
concert in April 2008, and sharing the stage with the Indianapolis Symphonic
Band as we present "Sounds of Pride" in June 2008. All of these events lead up
to our preparations for GALA MIAMI 2008.
On behalf of the Indianapolis Men's Chorus Executive Committee, our
Committee Chairs, and the entire IndyChoruses family, I am pleased to welcome
you to the Indianapolis Men's Chorus 2007-2008 Season. Thank you for your
continued support of IndyChoruses and the Indianapolis Men's Chorus.
